The "Orchestra di Venezia", dressed in original costumes from the 18th century, is composed of well-established chamber music ensembles and represents the classical and traditional Venetian music.
The Balletto di Venezia performs famous menuets, gavottes and rondos with costumes that will remind you of popular historical individuals like Marco or Casanova. You will also recognize characters of the "Commedia dell'arte". In addition, internationally renowned singers will interpret barcaroles and typical songs of the gondolieres.
This is certainly an event worth remembering and an occasion to grasp the atmosphere of the 18th century in Venice.
Duo Hossen - Kang
Based on profound musicality and expressive virtuoso solo performances, Sung-Suk Kang (piano) and Mario Hossen (violin) joined their talents to form this impressive duo.
The ensemble has performed very successfully for many years, presenting music on the highest level. It is said that the artists' temperament would even carry away composers of well-known music.
Sung Suk Kang and Mario Hossen play with enormous expression and perfectly harmonizing interaction, brilliantly and sensibly bringing out the best in music.
It is the duo's ultimate goal to transfer the enthusiasm and fascination experienced during their performance to their audience. This unique ensemble's repertoire includes renowned masterpieces, from the baroque period to contemporary music from around the world.
Without exaggeration - listening to the duo Hossen/Kang live in concert is an unforgettably delightful experience.
It is worth mentioning that the duo received invitations to perform the Mendelssohn double concerto with the Sophia Philharmonic in 2005, as well as for concert tours to Japan in 2006.
Cappella Istropolitana
All orchestra members share their enthusiasm for music and for performing in a small orchestra; many of the musicians are renowned soloists. The internationally acclaimed Cappella Istropolitana is famous for its virtuosity, culture of sound, and stylistic perfection.
The orchestra consists of 15 string players with additional brass or woodwinds, if required. Its repertoire covers baroque, classical, romantic and contemporary music.
Since its foundation in 1983, the chamber orchestra Cappella Istropolitana has toured extensively throughout Europe, the USA, Canada, Japan, Korea, China, Macao and Hong Kong.
In 1991, the Cappella Istropolitana was chosen to be the official chamber orchestra of the city of Bratislava.
The chamber orchestra performs with internationally acclaimed soloists and conductors.
The Cappella Istropolitana has recorded over 70 CDs of the highest quality. The CDs sold extremely well, resulting in 2 platinum CDs under the Naxos label.
Ensemble Archi della Scala
A great interest has been aroused by thirteen skillful musicians from the Orchestra of the most renowned Italian theatre, from their new and surprising musical interpretations “of rare beauty”, as defined by the critics.
Joined in the purpose of seeking compositions of extremely high artistic value even thought scarcely know or performed - among the composers of operas, this Ensemble offers to the listeners exquisitely interesting programmes of high artistic level.
Besides a repertoire for strings only, the concert performance of such musical compositions gives the opportunity of listening to the instruments of great soloists and the voices of the most famous interpreters.
Besides its normal national and European concert activity, the Ensemble has recently been on a prestigious tour to China, where, they performed eight concerts in the towns of
Peking, Shanghai, Xian, Hangchow and Canton.
